Facility

The United Church of Christ is located on five breathtaking acres located in southwest Petaluma. Designed by acclaimed Menlo Park architect Kingsford James, the church features a soaring A-frame style ceiling and has room for more than 250 attendees. Adjacent to the Church is Fellowship Hall, the place for the informal, celebratory gatherings that are a central part of church membership.

The signature feature of our Church is the dramatic stained glass cross located at the north end of the sanctuary. It measures 45 feet high by 20 feet wide and is made of glass panels 2 inches thick. Each color in the cross is signficant: the red glass represents the blood of Christ, the blue God's sky, amber the radiance of the sun, white, green and brown are the Earth, and purple is Gods' majesty.

Renting Our Space

Our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall are available for use by nonprofit and community groups for a small fee. We host numerous 12-step groups, and share our space with community conversation groups, meditation groups, and others.  We have also been the site of Springhill Montessori for almost 30 years. To learn more about hosting an event or meeting at the church, please contact our administrator, Terese

Weddings

Each year we help several couples begin their married life with weddings held on our beautiful grounds. We'll help you celebrate with use of our sanctuary, dressing areas, and grounds. For smaller weddings, our Fellowship Hall can also be rented for your reception. We are very happy to celebrate same-gender unions and interfaith marriages. Our pastor will work with you to plan a ceremony that fits your style and values. In some situations, an outside officiant may be used. To learn more, read our wedding booklet or contact Terese.
